The first 1,000 days of life are crucial in determining a child's future development. Providing children with a good and appropriate nutritional regimen during this period lays a solid foundation for their healthy and intelligent growth.
In collaboration with Con Cung, Genetica has developed a gene decoding package specifically tailored for customers at Con Cung. This package analyzes over 200 genes from a baby's saliva sample and generates a report on three important traits in the child's developmental journey from birth to 2 or 3 years old. These traits include:
- Nutrient Absorption: Analyzing the child's ability to absorb nutrients such as sugar, starch, protein, and fat, which helps decode their nutritional needs based on their constitution.
- Taste Sensitivity: Analyzing the child's sensitivity to bitter and sweet tastes, which helps plan a suitable weaning menu and facilitates the baby's weaning journey.
- Milk Protein Allergy Risk: Assessing the child's risk of milk protein allergy, the most common food allergy in children. This information helps in early identification of symptoms after consuming products containing milk protein.
Additionally, the Baby Well Plus package provides useful reports on vitamin needs, metabolic abilities, personality trends, behavior, and intellectual potential of children. This information allows parents to gain a comprehensive understanding of their children and build a solid foundation for their future development.
The Baby Well and Baby Well Plus packages are now available in Con Cung's store system.
Con Cung, with over a decade of experience in supporting Vietnamese parents in raising children, has closely collaborated with large corporations worldwide to provide high-quality and suitable nutritional products for infants and young children.
Genetica®, on the other hand, is a pioneer in Asia, partnering with Illumina and Thermo Fisher to develop specialized core technology in gene decoding for Asian populations, combined with artificial intelligence (AI). Through saliva samples and gene decoding chips, Genetica's technology, developed in collaboration with Thermo Fisher, can detect the most important genetic markers in Asians with over 99% accuracy, equivalent to tests conducted using blood samples.
By providing comprehensive information on nutritional needs, potential, behavior, and common disease risks in Asian and Vietnamese populations, Genetica® aims to support parents in scientifically raising healthy children.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh, CEO of Genetica, stated, "At Genetica, our packages have always been well-received by Vietnamese parents because they provide a wealth of genetic information about their children, enabling parents to raise and care for their children in a more scientific manner. Through our partnership with Con Cung, we aim to provide genetic decoding packages related to nutritional needs, supporting parents in raising healthy children with a strong nutritional and physical foundation from the early stages of life. Additionally, parents can decode other characteristics of their child's personality, potential, and intelligence to support their comprehensive development."
Mr. Luu Anh Tien, Co-Founder & General Director of Con Cung Joint Stock Company, expressed, "In our journey of supporting parents in raising children, Con Cung understands the concerns of parents regarding nutrition for their child and the desire for expertise in nutrition, particularly during the first three years of a child's life. Therefore, Con Cung has partnered with Genetica® to provide comprehensive healthcare solutions for nutritional needs and immune system support, assisting parents in their scientifically-guided parenting journey."
In the past two decades, since the decoding of the human genome, consisting of over 20,000 genes and more than 6 billion mutations, the concept of individual health has been evaluated based on two factors: physical, mental, and social well-being, and "personalization" - which refers to genetic information. Recognizing the uniqueness of each body and the differences in each genome, understanding one's genetic information empowers individuals to adjust their lifestyle and take appropriate healthcare measures.
